Name: Speedy; Bridgett; Bridge . Age: 2 years . Gender: Female . Status: House dog, but she roams around into the city and about .
Appearance: Her markings tend to be the normal Border Collie look. Black/dark brown and white. The dark color dominates most of her coat leaving just a tad of white; around her snout, throat/chest area, legs and the tip of her tail. Her fur is long and fluffy, which can be troublesome to clean. Her legs are long and lean and were built for speed and agility .
Personality: Speedy has a different mood and personality in different situations. Around people she is warm, inviting and friendly always wanting to please them. Around the flock she helps herd she is hostile and aggressive, not letting them out of her sight. Around other dogs may vary, she is instinctively drawn toward other females for they are of the same gender and she feels safe around them. Guys are a different story, their feelings and ways are a mystery to her, but she can easily let them know how to back off. No she is not a fighter, but she can top speeds and smart mouth them at any point .
History: There is not much really to say a farmer needed a herding dog, so he bought a little pup which his wife named Bridgett. Bridgett was trained and taught the ways of herding by her Human and an elderly Australian sheep dog named Motley. Soon later the farmer and his wife had a daughter named Susanne, Bridgett's new owner.
The two girls were unsepertable; Bridgett would run around and chase the girl through her young years, which is where she got her nickname, Speedy. Unfortunately Motley died soon after Speedy reached age 2, leaving her to herd the livestock. All of her play ended with Susie, so to make up for it, her parents bought her a cat, which she soon named Tawny. No, Tawny and Speedy werent mortal enemies, they grew to grow comfortable around each other.
Somedays if the herding went well Speedy was rewarded by a trip into the city nearby the small farm, which Speedy was always excited about. The bright lights and strange smells always interested her, not to mention the other dogs she had seen through the old truck window. Speedy's fascination usually brought her trouble.
Speedy would often run-off to explore the busy area, leaving the farmer with no herding dog. It made him irrtable to know that Speedy wasnt loyal to her job. So he bought a new Border named Nixon, he was a yearling and already trained in the arts of herding. He was something Speedy wasnt, loyal to his job. Of course she loved her family and her job, but the city was more exciting than those wooly sheep. She would return home so she was a good dog, just not a hard working one .
Theme Song(s):
When I walk beside her I am the better man when i look to leave her I always stagger back again
Once I built an ivory tower so I could worship from above when I climb down to be set free she took me in again
CHORUS There’s a big a big hard sun beating on the big people in the big hard world
When she comes to greet me she is mercy at my feet I see her inner charm she just throws it back at me
Once I dug an early grave to find a better land she just smiled and laughed at me and took her rules back again
CHORUS
Once I stood to lose her and I saw what i had done bowed down and threw away the hours of her garden and her sun
So I tried to want her I turned to see her weep 40 days and 40 nights and its still coming down on me
CHORUS
When you were young Tomorrow Surrender
