Kiara stretched as she woke. She looked out her master's window. She saw there was no fence out side. "Why didn't they put up a fence?" Kiara said. "Oh well. That's better for me." She woke up her master and the two kids. It was a Saturday, which meant she would get a piece of bacon. MMMMM. Bacon." Kiara said a the smell went up her nose. She quickly at her bacon strip and ate what else she had. Kiara went up to her older master, begging for another piece of bacon. "No more" the mother said. One of the kids gave Kiara a piece of bacon, without the mother knowing. She like the mother's kids. She preferred then as her masters. She went out her little doggy door, ready to walk around Twilight Drive. Just as she thought she was able to leave, she felt a shock. Kiara yelped. "Hey! What gives?!" Kiara tried a gain, but still felt the shock. The mother came out the door, seeing Kiara trying to leave to house. "I see you've found about our invisible fence" the mother said. "Invisible what?" Kiara said. "You can't get out of the house with us being with you now" the mother said. She didn't like Kiara roaming the streets like she was a street dog. Kiara looked at the mother like she was say "Ok. I'll like going with you and my masters." Once the mother went back inside, Kiara went back to trying to get out. c'mon your stupid fence!" Kiara barked. "Let me out!" Kiara kept trying to get out. She was gonna keep doing this until she got out.

Hamlet trotted along the sidewalk. He wandered the city at his own free will. Going where he wanted when he wanted. He ruled these streets. Stopping by the leash and collar set once in a while to see what they did for excitement. He was a rotwieler. One of the few purebred dogs on the streets. He kept walking looking at the houses. "Looks like they upgraded...." A new invisable fence had been put up on each yard with a dog. The city was going crazy with that leash law. Only the private nieghborhoods could let the dogs off their leashes.
He gaze fell on a puppy. Try to break out of the yard. It would have to get that collar off. That was no easy task. A pup couldn't get it off if it tried. He shook his head. He laughed a little and trotted into the yard. He was a full grown rotwieler and this was just a mutt pup.

Kiara kept trying to break out of the fence. She finaly stopped, tired. She was panting heavliy. She spotted a rotwieler, trotting by. He had no collar so she know he was a street dog. "Hey! Can you help me get outta here?"

Hamlet chuckled. He walked over to the tree in the corner of the yard. Ignoring the pup's question. He lifted his leg and marked the territory. He stopped and walked over, sizing her up. "I doubt you'd last very long on the streets."

Kiara started barking." I used to be a street dog if you didn't know and that wasn't very long ago! You think I'll turn away from my street dog ways? No! I'm still a street dog, even if I do live with humans now!" Kiara calmed down. She sat down. "My name's Kiara by the way."

Hamlet bend his ears. "Keep it down. If you were a street dog you'd know that its better to keep silent." Hamlet chuckled darkly to himself. This was rather amusing to him. The streets were rougher now. The dog catachers had taken a step up. Before dogs looked out for each other, now only the strongest will survive.

Kiara looked at Hamlet, then she went to the back of the house, thinking of how to get out of of the house. She looked at her collar. She then remembered the mother called for this collar. She quickly found out how to get out of the house. "So that's why she gave me a new collar. It was for the fence." About a two later, Kiara stood in front of Hamlet. She had her collar in her mouth and her tail was wagging with delight. Kiara dropped her fence in the yard. She jumped on to a trash can and jumped over the fence.

Hamlet rolled his eyes and sighed. Trotting after the pup. This pup was gonna be trouble he knew it. It wasn't very hard to get over the fence, he just needed to jump. The thing with housedogs running away is that the humans usually come looking. A born street dog had no worries about that. They were free and wandered where they liked. He looked at the pup again. This might not last very long.

Kiara had no worries about running away. Her masters knew she would come back. Kiara knew what time the mother would be outside. She just had to be back by that time and the time the mother came outside was a while from now. Kiara started to run off. Before she was out of sight, she looked back at Hamlet. "If your gonna follow me around, then what are you waiting for? Let's go.

Hamlet did a motion that looked like a shrug. The reason he had come here was simple. Walking to the edge of the street he stared at it. It was garbage day for this area. He knocked the can over. It hit the grass making little niose. The contents spilling out before him. He stuck his head in looking for a good meal.

Kiara waited for Hamlet. She heard something coming. It was the garbage truck. Kiara ran back back to the fence. She jumped over the fence , grabbed her collar and went to the backyard. She peeked out from the back. Hamlet was still there. "Hey! You gotta go hide. The garbage people are close by!"

Hamlet looked up. Damn his meal was getting cut short. He looked one last time. Grabbing a half eaten load of bread he ran back to the house. Jumping the fence he was behind the house when he stopped. He layed down. He meal in front of him, resting in his paws. He ate the thing up.

Kiara looked at Hamlet. That was close. The garbage people did their job and left. Kiara stretched and went back to the front yard. She found a good play to hide the collar. She jumped over the fence, waiting for Hamlet to finish his meal.

Hamlet scarfed the last of the meal down. He hated bread. It had no flavor and tasted like dirt. He growled at the air where the bread had been. He walked out of the yard and over the fence. He growled. Walking down the street back to the city. He needed some real food.

Kiara watched Hamlet leave. "Where's he going?"Kiara wondered if she should follow him or not. She got up and started running after Hamlet. "Hey! Wait up!"
